About the Business

Welcome to the Caledonian Railway. We are an entirely volunteer run charity (SC012714) that restores, maintains and operates a heritage railway based in the heart of Angus in Scotland. We run steam and diesel hauled trains along the 4 mile branch line between the town of Brechin to the countryside stop of Bridge of Dun, which dates back to 1848.

The railway is open for services on selected dates throughout the year. Please see our what’s on page for full details of our services

The Whistle Stop Coffee Shop at Brechin station is currently open Wednesdays to Saturdays, 10am ’til 3pm. Please see their facebook page for the most up-to-date information and to book your table today!
