Park Property Management Expands Portfolio with Indigo Square Factoring Business Acquisition

Glasgow-based Park Property Management has announced the successful acquisition of Indigo Square’s factoring business. This strategic move significantly bolsters Park Property Management’s presence, integrating approximately 2,000 new clients across 130 developments in Glasgow, Renfrewshire, and Ayrshire.

Key Takeaways

  • Park Property Management has acquired Indigo Square’s factoring business.
  • The deal adds around 2,000 clients and 130 developments to Park’s portfolio.
  • Three staff members, including former Indigo Director Val West, have transferred to Park.
  • Indigo Square will continue its estate agency operations.
  • Park Property Management has secured new office space and launched a staff training facility.

Strategic Growth and Integration

The acquisition marks a significant milestone in Park Property Management’s ongoing growth strategy. The integration of Indigo Square’s factoring clients and properties is expected to enhance the company’s market position. As part of the transaction, three employees from Indigo Square, including former Director Val West, have joined Park Property Management under TUPE arrangements, ensuring a smooth transition for the new clients.

Indigo Square, under the ownership of Brian Gilmour, will maintain its estate agency business, operating from its existing offices in Glasgow and Largs. This allows for a clear separation of services while facilitating the transfer of the factoring operations.

Enhanced Operations and Staff Development

To accommodate its expanding operations, Park Property Management has also secured new, larger office premises at Centurian Business Park in Glasgow. The new two-storey building, spanning over 4,000 sq ft, will not only house the growing team but also serve as the base for the newly launched Park PM Academy. This dedicated training facility underscores Park Property Management’s commitment to investing in its people, fostering professional development, and aiming to elevate standards within the company and the broader property management industry.

Paul McDermott, managing director of Park Property Management, expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition, highlighting it as a crucial step in the company’s expansion journey. He reiterated the company’s commitment to exploring further acquisition opportunities as part of its long-term strategic vision. McDermott also emphasised the importance of staff development, viewing the Park PM Academy as a testament to this priority.

The acquisition was facilitated with funding support from RBS.
