Arabesque School of Performing Arts

Arabesque is one big happy family where children can explore their creativity whilst building confidence, learning new skills, and making friends for life. Arabesque offers performing arts classes after school and at weekends in a range of subjects including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Street/ commercial, Acro, Drama, Singing and Musical Theatre. All of our teachers are fully qualified, and DBS checked so you can rest assured that your child is in safe hands. Within the Arabesque family we nurture each child to reach their full potential, as well as promoting a passion and love for the performing arts. Children are prepared for dance examinations in Ballet, Tap and Modern with the internationally recognised Imperial Society of Teacher of Dancing (ISTD) For Acro we prepare them to take examinations with the Acrobatic Arts Whilst for Acting they can prepare for exams with London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and for singing – Musical Theatre and Pop Vocals we enter them for London College of Music (LCM) Examinations. Exams take place 2 or 3 times a years and children are entered as and when they are ready. All children progress at different rates and our expert teachers will make sure that every child is fully prepared to reach their full potential. Examinations are not compulsory; however, most children enjoy them, and it is a good way to measure their achievements. Each summer every student attending Arabesque can take part in our annual Summer Show. This takes place in a professional theatre and is an amazing performance opportunity, one that I know that they all look forward to every year. Throughout the year there are also opportunities for the students to take part in workshops with industry professionals as well as various courses in the school holidays. We also organise regular trips to the theatre to see various performances. Many of past our students are performing in the West End and its always a joy to take the Arabesque Family to support them. We believe that performing arts is for everyone be that for fun or a possible career path. We are a happy family and many lifelong friendships have been formed at Arabesque.
