We specialise in acoustic and folk instruments and accessories, but also stock a good range of classical and rock supplies and instruments for schools. All of our staff are musicians, and our friendly expert advice is free. We stock guitars, mandolins, ukuleles banjos, bouzoukis, accordions, melodeons, concertinas, harmonicas, bodhrans, cajons, hang drums, djembes, dulcimers, flutes, violins, clarinets, amps, tambourines, thumb pianos, harmoniums, whistles, xylophones, zithers, bagpipes, ocarinas, recorders and so much more, with cases, capos, gig bags, strings and spares for most instruments. We welcome customers to try out instruments, come and find us on Eastgate close to the city centre. We have a specialist violin and strings department in the shop, with an expert violin restorer and valuer working onsite. Clearing out or upgrading? Bring your instruments to Hobgoblin to trade up or sell. We will consider any instrument for a trade-in, or to sell on your behalf on a commission basis, and we can sometimes buy instruments outright too.
