Formula Kidz Ltd was launched back in 2011 by Enver Meyer and Gareth Howell. The pair had met many years earlier when Enver managed Gareth’s fathers international karting company who had pioneered the indoor karting concept back in the mid-eighties.
As part of his role there, Enver had built up a very successful kid racing academy based at their Streatham Karting Centre, SW London. This had gone from strength to strength throughout the 2000s with Enver running a British Karting team alongside Gareth, selecting the best drivers from his academy. From there, graduates moved up the ranks of National and International motorsport with many still racing professionally.
When his father retired and the company closed its doors, Gareth and Enver discussed an idea they’d had to make kids karting mobile! The ability to set up a children’s motorsport event anywhere and to even bring racing right into peoples back gardens.
They initially set up in the area of their familiar client base in SW London, using the Latchmere Leisure Centre, Battersea as their first-party venue. Gareth has been involved in motorsport as a professional driver since his early years, and with Enver’s karting industry experience, they knew how important it was to be an incredibly well presented and ultra-professional outfit.
With immaculately prepared equipment and an inflatable track they had designed to transform a normal sports hall, school playground or garden into a motorsport venue- the guys took the leap into owning their first kids karting business.
Word quickly spread of this amazing new party experience and very soon annual block bookings were made at a number of sports centres in London. Soon, a second fleet was added to cope with the ever increasing amount of parties. The business has since grown to be one of the most popular kids entertainment activities in London.
In 2018 Formula Kidz Ltd took on their first franchisee. Formula Kidz – Kent came on board to service the growing client base outside of London, around our Sevenoaks and Maidstone venues
