Andover entrepreneur Linette Pimm has launched First Response Cleaning Solutions, a specialist cleaning business, with the help of a £750 Business Incentive Grant from Test Valley Borough Council.
The grant is funding training and equipment that let Pimm expand into specialised services including end-of-tenancy cleans, biohazard cleaning, accident clean-up and decluttering. She has completed a City and Guilds biohazard course plus a specialist follow-up course, and has been engaging with local business support networks and workshops to build up the new venture.
Councillor Kirsty North praised Pimm’s initiative, highlighting the council’s Business Incentive Grant scheme as part of its wider commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and economic growth in Test Valley. To qualify, applicants must apply within eight weeks of launching, with funds typically paid out after six months of trading.
