Brimark Butchers in Radlett, Hertfordshire, has closed after 36 years of trading, as owner Brian retires. The shop shut its doors on Friday, 20 March, ending a run that saw it occupy three different units at Battlers Green Farm on Common Lane.
Announcing the closure on social media, the Brimark team thanked customers for their loyalty: “What a GREAT 36 years we have had here! To all our wonderful customers, thank you so much for your trade! We are so grateful for you all and we will miss seeing you every week!”
The Brimark name continues at its sister shop in Wheathampstead, run by Brian’s son Mark, so the family’s butchery business carries on there. At Battlers Green Farm itself, a replacement has already been lined up: award-winning Bridget B’s Butchery, which already has several shops across Hertfordshire, is set to open at the site in April, with an exact date still to be confirmed.
