A self-service dog wash station opened at Grateley Business Park in Hampshire in November 2025, aiming to take the stress and mess out of bathing a dog at home. Fetch the Soap was founded by Rebecca Brown, a British Army photographer who struggled with the physical strain of bathing her own dogs and, after talking to other owners, realised the problem was a common one.
The business offered a private, fully equipped space where owners could shampoo, condition, rinse and blow-dry their dogs without the chaos of a home bathroom, with appointments booked online and free onsite parking. Brown also launched a complementary venture next door, Fetch & Pose, a professional pet photography studio offering portraits for dog owners and visual content for pet businesses.
Update: the Grateley site is closing, with a new location still to be announced
Fetch the Soap has since confirmed it is relocating. Its own booking page states that the Grateley calendar remained open only until 7 August 2026, after which the site stopped taking appointments, with the business saying simply that it is “moving soon” and will announce its new Hampshire location in due course. Grateley itself sits just outside Andover, so anyone who used the service there is likely to find its next home somewhere in that wider area, though nothing has been confirmed yet. In the meantime, Andover-area owners can browse pet groomers in Andover or dog and cat grooming businesses across the UK for other options.
