T&T Craft Studio is a rug tufting workshop on the third floor of Chatham Mill on Lower Ormond Street, a few minutes from Oxford Road station and Oxford Street. It was set up by a designer who runs the studio alongside a dog called Coco, and the whitewashed mill room is lined with racks of brightly coloured yarn, tufting guns and framed canvases.

Guests pick a mini, standard or large rug, or another piece such as a tote bag, mirror or portrait, draw or bring their design, and are shown how to use the tufting gun by a tutor before making it themselves; custom designs can be worked up from a photo. All yarn, tools and materials are included, no experience is needed, and unfinished pieces can be completed by staying longer or booking extra time.

Experienced tufters can hire studio time by the hour. Private sessions for up to six people suit birthdays, hen parties and small team-building groups, and children are welcome alongside an adult. Workshops run seven days a week and must be booked in advance, and gift cards are sold online.
