Coffee On The Crescent is a speciality coffee shop in a parade of shops on The Crescent in Hyde Park, Leeds, on the edge of Woodhouse Moor, behind a deep blue shopfront. It was opened by a former professional cricketer who spent his playing years seeking out coffee houses around the world, and it is meant as a calm, friendly place to meet.
Inside there are wooden tables, local artwork on the walls and plants for sale. The cafe serves brunch, cakes and ice cream alongside its coffee, loose leaf teas, hot chocolate and chai, and also pours craft beer and wine. Shelves hold coffee beans and home brewing kit, and the online shop offers click and collect. The work of local artists, authors and makers is displayed and sold, and the cafe hosts private events.
It is a real living wage employer and has raised money for the local food bank. It opens every day of the week.
