Sainsbury's, Bexhill Supermarkets in Bexhill
About
Sainsbury's Bexhill-on-Sea sits at 1 Buckhurst Place in the town centre, a main supermarket trading from this site since 1976. The store carries a full grocery range plus an in-store bakery, self-checkout tills, a free-to-use cash machine, a National Lottery counter and a photo booth, alongside floral, greetings card and toy ranges.
Argos Click & Collect, DPD Pickup and InPost parcel lockers are all available on site, and the car park outside has free customer parking. Look up at the Buckhurst Place frontage and you'll see the store's well-known 1976 concrete relief murals by Henry and Joyce Collins, restored by Bexhill Heritage in 2024 and now a local landmark in their own right.

A Bexhill tradition since 1923
Sainsbury's first came to Bexhill in 1923, trading from a smaller shop on Devonshire Road, before the business moved to this larger, purpose-built Buckhurst Place store in June 1976, where it has traded ever since.
