Lilla Rugs Carpet & Rug Retailers in Brent, London
About
Lilla Rugs is a family-owned rug warehouse in north-west London, run by the founding family from the Oriental Rug Centre on Waterloo Road. The collection was started in 1992, when the founders began sourcing handmade rugs from the weaving regions of Iran, and the business moved here in 2015 from its first warehouse near Manor House, taking on a 10,000 square foot building that holds several thousand individual pieces.
The stock is mainly Persian, from old and vintage pieces to newer weaves, with Afghan, Moroccan, Indian and Chinese rugs and long runners alongside. Visitors can browse the warehouse from Monday to Saturday, and Sunday visits can be arranged by appointment. For people who would rather judge a rug in their own room, the team runs house visits, bringing a selection to try in place.
Rugs can also be hired, cleaned and restored, or commissioned to a bespoke size, and interior designers and other trade buyers have their own visit option.
