About
Alexa Mather has run The Spa Town Florist from a unit under the arches of Buxton's newly restored Crescent for the past few years, after more than 25 years working as a florist. She was named Best Florist in Derbyshire, then the East Midlands, at the 2023 England Business Awards for her hand-tied bouquets and event work. Alongside the seasonal bouquets sold from the shop, she designs wedding flowers, floral tributes for funerals, and corporate arrangements for offices, restaurants and hotels across Buxton and the wider Peak District, working each piece around the flowers in season rather than a fixed catalogue.
