Markson Pianos Musical Instrument Shops in Camden, London
About
Markson Pianos is a fourth-generation family piano business with its London showroom at Chester Court on Albany Street in Camden. It was founded in 1910 by Louis Markson, a piano tuner and repairer, whose sons later opened branches in north-west and south-east London and introduced a pioneering piano hire scheme in the 1960s.
The showroom displays a carefully prepared range of new and pre-owned grand and upright pianos from makers such as Yamaha, Kawai, Bösendorfer, Petrof, Grotrian, Feurich and Steingraeber, alongside digital pianos, and customers are welcome to try instruments with expert advice on hand. Beyond sales, Markson offers home hire, pianos for events, film and props, plus tuning and restoration.
The showroom is open from half past nine until half past five, Monday to Saturday, with late opening until seven on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and appointments can be arranged outside these hours.
