La Trompette is a neighbourhood fine-dining restaurant on Devonshire Road, just off Chiswick High Road, run by the same owners as Chez Bruce on Wandsworth Common. It opened in 2001 and set out to serve cooking of the very top London standard without the formality or prices usually attached to it. A complete refurbishment in 2013 brought a new kitchen, a private dining room and better guest facilities, and the dining room today is a calm, light space of white tablecloths and wood floors behind a long glass frontage with box-hedge planters along the pavement.

The cooking is seasonal modern European, with menus that change regularly and a well-regarded cheese board and wine list. A set lunch is offered from Wednesday to Friday, alongside the full lunch and dinner menus and a longer Sunday lunch. Lunch and dinner are separate services, and the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Tables can be booked online or by phone, and gift vouchers are available.
