Wild and Woolly is an independent wool shop on Lower Clapton Road in Clapton, trading since 2014 and known locally for its playful knitted window displays. The bright, white-shelved shop stocks a wide choice of knitting and crochet yarns alongside the kit to use them: needles, stitch markers and counters, gauges, sewing and finishing tools, blocking and washing supplies, project bags and buttons, with yarn winding on hand.

Knitting kits, patterns and books make it a good stop for a first project, and the shop runs classes and events for knitters at every level. There is a ramp for wheelchair users, twenty minutes' free parking outside and metered bays on nearby Linscott Road, and Hackney Central, Hackney Downs and Clapton stations are all close. It opens from midday Tuesday to Friday and from mid-morning on Saturday.
