Bottle Apostle's Crouch End shop sits on the corner of Park Road among the neighbourhood's independent traders, and opened in 2012 as the second branch of the family-owned London wine merchant that began in Victoria Park Village in 2009. The idea is that choosing wine should never feel intimidating: every bottle on the shelves is colour-coded, matched with food and given a short description, and the qualified team are on hand when a customer wants a recommendation.
Alongside wines from everyday drinking to rarities, the shop stocks champagne, sake, small-batch spirits, craft beers and ciders, and makes up gift cases. A free informal tasting runs every Friday evening from four until eight, with ticketed tasting events through the year. Orders can be collected from the shop or delivered across the UK, and the business also supplies weddings, events and corporate gifts.
The shop is open seven days a week, until eight in the evening from Wednesday to Saturday.
