About
Loop is an independent knitting and crochet shop on Camden Passage in Islington, a short walk from Angel station. It was opened in the summer of 2005 by Susan Cropper and describes itself as having been voted London's best independent knitting shop. It stocks mostly natural fibres, many of them hand-dyed, from makers around the world, and is the UK flagship stockist for Quince & Co and Woolfolk.
Alongside the yarn there is a broad haberdashery range with vintage buttons, ribbons and embroidery and mending threads, printed patterns, books and magazines, and handmade pieces by independent textile designers. Loop has published four books of its own and runs classes from beginner level to master classes, often with visiting teachers.
The shop is cashless, so bring a card or phone, and it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
