About
Long & Ryle is a contemporary art gallery on John Islip Street in Westminster, just behind Tate Britain and around two minutes' walk from Pimlico station. Founded in 1988 and run by its directors Sarah Long and Carolyn Ryle-Hodges, it has spent more than thirty-five years introducing distinctive, poetic contemporary work by established British and international artists alongside young and emerging talent.
The programme runs through the year with solo and group exhibitions of painting, sculpture, ceramics and installation, and the gallery also handles Modern British works and a changing selection of new acquisitions. Long & Ryle takes part in art fairs such as the London Original Print Fair at Somerset House, and keeps collectors informed of new shows through its mailing list.
The black-fronted gallery opens from Monday to Friday, and Saturday visits can be arranged by appointment with the gallery team.
