The Leeds Deli is a neighbourhood deli and cafe on Chelwood Drive in north Leeds, between Moortown and Roundhay. Its shelves carry deli goods the owners have chosen after spending time in France and Italy, from Italian breadsticks, 'nduja and pesto to Spanish salsa brava, tinned fish and olive oils, alongside its own branded bags.
The counter is stacked each morning with fresh sourdough loaves and pastries such as croissants, pain au chocolat, cinnamon swirls and cruffins, sold until they run out, and the kitchen makes focaccia sandwiches and serves coffee. On Friday and Saturday nights it turns to artisan pizzas made with Neapolitan flour, which can be eaten in or ordered online for collection.
The deli also runs a supper club, hosts private events and parties and offers outdoor catering. It opens from 8am every day, until 4pm from Sunday to Thursday with the kitchen closing at 3pm, and until 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
