About
SisCo is a family-owned hair salon on Morningside Road, opened in 2016 by owner and salon director Caitlin Rennie after more than twenty years in hairdressing, including time at Paterson SA and Hair by Boom and managing the salon at RBS Gogarburn. She runs it with a small, close-knit team the salon calls its sisterhood, including salon manager Gemma, who has been hairdressing since 2007, and senior stylist Aimee, who has a particular love of balayage.
The salon welcomes women, men and children, and day-to-day work covers considered cutting, styling and colour designed to keep hair in good condition between visits, while corrective and creative colour is treated as a specialist service that starts with an in-person consultation looking at the hair's history and health. Products are chosen with sustainability in mind, and the ranges used in the salon are also on sale to take home.
Lothian bus routes 5, 11, 15, 16, 23 and 36 stop close by, though free parking nearby is limited. The salon stays open until 8pm on Thursdays and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
