About
Spokes Bikeshop is an independent mountain bike shop on the High Street in Silverdale, on the western edge of Newcastle-under-Lyme, set up in 2016 by a group of bike mechanics and friends who ride themselves. The shop concentrates on high-end mountain bikes and electric mountain bikes, selling complete bikes alongside components, cockpits, pedals, wheels and drivetrain parts, plus riding clothing.
Its workshop handles everything from routine tune-ups and repairs to suspension servicing, wheel building and full custom builds, and the team is happy to talk riders through upgrades over a coffee. Spokes also runs its own mountain bike club, with group rides around Silverdale and the wider Stoke-on-Trent trails, and takes part in local events such as film nights.
New bikes can be bought through the Cycle to Work scheme or on finance. The shop is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm and on Saturday mornings until 2pm.
