Crosstown Studios is an independent recording studio in Old Swan, working from a unit on the Prescot Road Business Park in east Liverpool, and has been recording artists here since 2008. Bands and solo musicians can track a single song or a whole album in its live room, which is kitted out with classic valve amplifiers, a house drum kit, a rack of guitars and a set of synths, so players do not have to bring every piece of gear with them.

Beyond recording, the studio offers production that takes a song from first idea to finished mix, songwriting help with lyrics, melodies and instrumental backing, and mixing for tracks that were recorded elsewhere. Sessions are booked in advance, with two late evenings a week for artists who work days. The studio is open Monday to Saturday, staying open until 10pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and on Sundays the room can be taken on a dry hire basis by arrangement.
