Westcote Design is an upholstery design and manufacturing company of hand made furniture. We have a small team of craftsmen and women who work from our small factory in the Cotswolds. Our showroom is within the working premises so that customers can see how our furniture is made and we pride ourselves on providing a high quality service and being able to respond to customers individual needs.
We offer a re-upholstery service and undertake bespoke pieces and commissions. Each piece is hand made to your individual requirements. As we make our hardwood frames in house, we have the flexibility to make your furniture how you would like it. Each frame is glued, screwed, dowled and covered in layers of cotton felt, hair and fibre before the fabric of your choice is upholstered and one of 6 cushion fillings completes the detailing.

Founded in 1991 by Mark and David
Westcote Design was founded in 1991 by Mark Prestidge and David Harwood, who between them bring over 85 years of industry experience. The business began in Milton-under-Wychwood before moving to Kingham, where it later opened a village-centre showroom to display its sofa, armchair and headboard collections.
A small team under one roof
The five-strong team covers every stage of the process in-house, from frame-making and design to sewing and upholstery, including an upholsterer who also builds the hardwood frames. That range lets Westcote Design take a piece from a bespoke commission through to a finished, hand-upholstered item without using outside contractors.
Deliveries well beyond Oxfordshire
Alongside its Oxfordshire and Cheltenham customers, Westcote Design delivers regularly into London and as far as Taunton and Cornwall, and counts contract furnishers, architects and interior designers among its clients as well as private customers.
