Five Rivers À La Carte is a fine dining Indian restaurant on Vicarage Place in Walsall, reached from the street through a quiet courtyard. Its menus are created by executive chef Rashpal Sunner, whose cooking has been served to Five Rivers diners for more than three decades and who has prepared banquets for international guests, and the kitchen marks vegetarian and vegan dishes clearly alongside the meat, fish and seafood plates.
Inside, exposed brickwork and timber frame a striking split-level space: the ground floor centres on the Louis XIII Library Bar, a tall wall of rare spirits, cognacs, champagnes and wines with a grand piano beside it, where the bar team mix signature cocktails, classic old fashioneds and mocktails before and after dinner. Upstairs, the Grand Mezzanine has the feel of a New York loft and is used for birthdays, anniversaries and corporate events.
Midweek there are themed evenings such as Wine and Dine Wednesdays, group dining menus are available, and a minimum of two courses applies at dinner. Bookings can be made online or by phone, gift cards are sold, and the restaurant is closed on Mondays except bank holidays.

Five Rivers À La Carte is led by group executive chef Rashpal Sunner, who moved from Punjab to the UK as a young chef in 1982 and has cooked for Five Rivers diners for more than thirty years, blending Punjabi tradition with locally sourced ingredients.
