F.H. Halliday & Son Funeral Directors in Portishead
About
F.H. Halliday & Son is an independent, family-owned funeral director that has served Portishead and the surrounding area since 1880, and is now run by the fifth generation of the same family. What began as a carpentry and decorating business on Portishead's High Street grew into a dedicated funeral service after founder Frederick Halliday was asked to make a coffin for a customer, and the firm became a limited company in 1966.
Today the team arranges full traditional funerals, burials and cremations, direct cremations and funeral plans, with coffins, ashes caskets, floral tributes, celebrants, memorial jewellery, service sheets and stonemasonry all available through the same office at St Peters Court on the High Street. The firm keeps its own fleet of funeral vehicles and is a member of SAIF, the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors, and the team can be contacted around the clock.
