HSU Clinics London, still widely known as the UCO Clinic, is the teaching clinic of the UCO School of Osteopathy, now part of Health Sciences University, on Southwark Bridge Road a short walk from Borough station. It is one of the busiest osteopathy clinics in the country, handling around 35,000 appointments a year for back and neck pain, joint and arthritic pain, sciatica, muscle spasms, headaches that start in the neck, sports injuries and longer-term pain.
Most treatment is given by senior students under the supervision of qualified osteopaths, which keeps fees low, while the separate qualified osteopathy clinic offers appointments with registered osteopaths on weekday evenings, Friday afternoons and Saturdays. The clinic also runs community clinics for people who find care harder to reach, some of them free, and offers telephone and video consultations alongside visits in person.
Appointments can be booked online, by phone or through a callback request, and there is normally no waiting list.
