Balmoral Joinery is a family-run joinery manufacturer on Hexham Road in Swalwell, on the western edge of Gateshead, that has been making timber products since 1999. Its main work is replacement windows and doors for period and heritage homes: sliding sash, casement and Georgian-style timber windows, and solid timber entrance doors made to good thermal and security standards with a choice of glazing and ironmongery.
The workshop also builds bespoke staircases for inside or outside the home, with timber, glass or metal balustrades, decorative newel posts and open or closed treads, along with timber bi-folding doors, internal joinery and made-to-measure furniture such as desks, cabinets and bedroom pieces. Customers include householders, commercial clients and the building trade, mainly across Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham.
The firm is listed as a member of the British Woodworking Federation.The office keeps weekday hours, closing early on Fridays and staying closed at weekends.
