Kernow Reuse Shop Charity Shops in Truro
About
The Kernow Reuse Shop at Truro's Tregurra Park household waste and recycling centre takes in furniture, household goods and other unwanted but still usable items dropped off by local people, and sells them on cheaply rather than letting them go to landfill. It is run by Suez on behalf of Cornwall Council and was the first of the county's reuse shops, opening in 2024. Anyone decluttering with odds and ends too good for the tip -- a chair that needs re-covering, a lamp, a chest of drawers -- can speak to a member of staff on site when they visit, and items that cannot be resold are passed on to local charities that collect reusable furniture and household goods.

One of several across the county
Cornwall Council has since opened sister shops at other household waste and recycling centres, including St Austell, Falmouth and Penryn, Launceston, St Day and St Erth, so Truro's is now one of several trading under the Kernow Reuse name across Cornwall.
