Bageriet Bakers in Westminster, London

About
Bageriet is a small Swedish bakery on Rose Street in Covent Garden, where everything on sale is baked fresh each day in the bakery kitchen directly below the shop. The counter is filled with the buns, biscuits and cakes that Swedes grow up with: cardamom and cinnamon buns, blueberry and apple buns, almond-scented mazarins, coconut tops, chocolate balls and the green marzipan-covered princess cake, alongside bagged traditional biscuits such as oat, nut and treacle cuts.
Dark rye, seeded loaves and vört bread are baked as well, and seasonal specialities like saffron Lucia buns and festive wreaths appear through the year. Whole cakes are made in a ten-portion size and can be pre-ordered with at least three days' notice by email or through the website's order form, while the savoury Swedish sandwich cake needs a week's notice.
Orders are collected from the shop. Bageriet opens Monday to Saturday and is closed on Sundays, and Rose Street runs off Garrick Street, a short walk from Covent Garden and Leicester Square stations.
