Cutlery made at the Round Building in the Peak District
David Mellor Design was founded in 1953 by the designer and silversmith David Mellor, a Royal Designer for Industry. Since 1990 its cutlery has been made at the Round Building in Hathersage, a purpose-built factory designed by Michael Hopkins on the circular foundations of the village's old gasworks, and the Marylebone shop stocks the full range made there alongside the firm's tableware and glassware.
