Just Barking is a dog grooming salon in Kensal Rise, founded in 2009 and set back from the street in Pear Tree Yard on Chamberlayne Road, where there is free off-street parking for drop-off and collection. The team includes an International Certified Master Groomer with Distinction, and has written books on grooming, trained other groomers and contributed to BBC radio.
Every dog is groomed one to one, with no free-roaming dogs in the salon, which suits nervous, reactive or first-time dogs and puppies. The team handles full breed-specific trims, hand stripping and coat restoration, and also offers a done-for-you dog wash for muddy dogs and non-sedating ultrasonic teeth cleaning as a gentle dental hygiene treatment.
Appointments start with a proper consultation and are booked by phoning the salon directly rather than through an app or online system. The salon opens Tuesday to Saturday and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
