Bevere Gallery Art Galleries & Dealers in Worcester
About
Bevere Gallery sits down a quiet lane on the northern edge of Worcester and has spent around two decades building a reputation as one of the country's leading galleries for contemporary studio ceramics. It represents more than 120 ceramicists, from established names to newer makers, and keeps work by around sixty of them on show at any one time, set against original paintings and prints on the walls and a selection of handmade jewellery.
The main gallery and framing salesroom occupy a converted deep-litter chicken shed, and visitors are encouraged to pick pieces up, handle them and talk about what they see. A new exhibition opens most months, and much of the stock can also be bought through the gallery's online shop. A picture framing service works from the same site.
Around the courtyard are six resident artists' studios, the Coach House gallery, which can be hired for workshops, classes and pop-up shows, and the Stable Kitchen cafe, with seating in a garden looking out towards Hawford. Admission is free; the gallery and framing are open Tuesday to Saturday, with visits at other times by appointment.

Backed by Own Art and the Arts Council
Bevere Gallery takes part in the Own Art scheme, which lets buyers pay for work by interest-free instalments, and its exhibition programme is supported by Arts Council England, alongside a long-standing link with the Crafts Council. For a gallery built around studio ceramics and original prints, that backing helps make collecting from new and established makers more accessible.
