NOSY Creative Agency Shortlisted for National Business Award

NOSY Creative Agency, based in Newport on the Isle of Wight, has been named a finalist for the Social & Sustainable Impact Award at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards 2026, recognised for combining commercial growth with sustainability, social purpose and investment in its team. Founder Matt Greg is a graduate of the University of Portsmouth’s Help to Grow: Management programme, and NOSY was among the first Isle of Wight businesses to complete it.

NOSY works deliberately with purpose-driven clients, an approach Greg describes as a “multiplier effect”: as the agency helps purpose-led businesses grow, their capacity to do good grows with them. The company has also launched Rubbish Networking, a series of litter-picking events that combine business networking with practical environmental action and has involved hundreds of people to date.

Staff share in 20 per cent of NOSY’s profits and are paid significantly above the local average, measures the agency says are intended to make sure employees benefit directly from its performance. Over the past year the agency says it has cut its carbon emissions by more than 20 per cent while keeping a 90 per cent client retention rate, and as a member of 1% for the Planet it has donated over £12,000 to environmental causes, including staff time on seagrass-restoration projects.

Dan Lodge, Business Support Programmes Manager at the University of Portsmouth, said NOSY’s progress showed the value of the Help to Grow: Management programme, which supports business leaders with the skills and strategic thinking to build resilient companies. The finalist announcement follows a visit to the university by Business and Trade Secretary Peter Kyle to see how the programme is supporting businesses across the South East, the University of Portsmouth said. Winners of the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards 2026 are due to be announced at a ceremony in London on 10 November.
