Set up in 2019, it searches more than a hundred lenders for first-time buyers, home movers and people remortgaging or switching products, and it also arranges buy-to-let lending.

A good share of its work is the cases high-street banks find awkward: self-employed borrowers, contractors and limited company directors, people with past credit problems or a debt management plan, and a dedicated range of key worker mortgages for NHS staff, police, teachers and the armed forces. As members of the Equity Release Council, the advisers also cover lifetime mortgages, home reversion plans and retirement interest-only mortgages for homeowners aged 55 and over, and they advise on life insurance, critical illness cover and income protection alongside a mortgage or on its own.

Mortgage advice is free of any broker fee, the firm is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, and appointments can be held face to face, by phone or online, with lines open seven days a week into the evening.
