ORRO Contemporary Jewellery Jewellers in Glasgow

About
ORRO is a contemporary jewellery gallery founded in Glasgow in 1997 and run today by its founder together with a designer goldsmith. After two decades in the city centre it moved back to the West End in 2020, to a light, gallery-style boutique on Cresswell Street just off Byres Road. The shop gathers collections from jewellery designers across Europe, working in everything from silver, gold and platinum to rubber, stainless steel and hardwoods, with natural diamonds, coloured sapphires, semi-precious stones and lab-created gems.
It is a particular destination for modern engagement and wedding rings, and alongside the ready-to-wear pieces there is an in-house bespoke service that makes one-off designs using ethical diamonds and Fairtrade or recycled precious metals. Necklaces, earrings, bracelets and a small selection of design-led watches complete the range, making it a good place to look for a distinctive gift.
Visitors are welcome to browse at their own pace and the team is happy to talk through designs and options. The boutique opens Thursday to Sunday and is closed Monday to Wednesday.

Scotland's first contemporary-only jeweller
Within a year of opening in 1997, ORRO became the first jeweller in Scotland to stock only contemporary pieces, selected by the Scottish Arts Council and the Crafts Council of Great Britain, and the German jewellery manufacturer Niessing chose it as its only stockist in Scotland.
