Fish Out is a fish and chip shop on Wellington Street in Leeds city centre, in a stone-fronted building with a navy shopfront and a few pavement tables outside. Haddock and cod are coated in a light, crisp batter and served with golden chips, and the shop also offers modern twists such as lemon and black pepper or garlic and herb batters, fish goujon wraps, calamari, scampi and vegetarian halloumi bites, as well as pies, sausages, butties and burgers.
Gluten-free batter is available and everything is fried in vegetable oil, with produce prepared on site each day. Food can be ordered for click and collect, delivered through Deliveroo or bought over the counter, and the team also caters for events. The Yorkshire Evening Post has named it among the top ten fish and chip shops in Leeds.
It serves lunch and early evening on weekdays, closing between 3pm and 4pm, and is closed at weekends and on bank holidays.
