From a Bradford market stall to a national chain
Morrisons began as a single market stall in Bradford in 1899, selling eggs and butter. It opened its first town-centre shop in 1958 and its first supermarket in 1961, growing over the following decades into one of the UK's largest grocery chains, with stores nationwide including this one in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
