Needoo Grill is a Punjabi restaurant on New Road in Whitechapel that has been cooking traditional Indian and Pakistani Punjabi food since 2009. Diners can eat in the air-conditioned dining room, where a large screen plays Bollywood and Lollywood music, or take their order away. The menu is built around the grill and the karahi: the Needoo mixed grill, lamb chops, chicken and lamb tikka, shashlik and whole grilled chicken sit alongside karahi gosht, karahi chicken and king prawns, slow-cooked daighi dry meat, biryanis and lentil dishes such as daal chicken and karahi tarka daal.
There is a good choice for vegetarians, including bhindi, aloo gobi, mutter paneer and chilli paneer, plus kebab and tikka rolls, homemade samosas and pakoras, a children's menu and lassi to drink. Tables can be booked and food ordered online through the restaurant's website. The restaurant is open seven days a week from noon until 11.30pm.

Needoo Grill was opened in 2009 by a manager who had previously worked at nearby Tayyabs, bringing that grounding in Punjabi grill cooking to a restaurant of its own on New Road, a short walk from Tayyabs itself.
