From an Italian roastery to the UK's biggest coffee brand
Costa Coffee began in 1971 when brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa started roasting coffee in London, supplying caterers and Italian delicatessens before opening their first coffee shop in 1981. The business grew into the UK's largest coffee shop chain, with this Uplands Crescent branch one of more than two dozen Costa stores serving towns and cities across the country.
