Tharavadu Restaurants in Holbeck, Leeds

About
Tharavadu is a Kerala restaurant on Mill Hill in Leeds city centre, a few steps from the railway station, cooking the food of south-west India. The name refers to the traditional joint-family homes of Kerala, and the dining room carries the theme with a painted ceiling map of the state, murals of Kerala scenes and long rows of tables beside cream banquettes.
The menu leans on the region's seafood, vegetable and rice dishes, and a wine list chosen to go with spiced food sits alongside it. The restaurant has been recommended in the Michelin Guide, listed in the Good Food Guide and Harden's, named among the UK's top 100 restaurants by SquareMeal and reviewed in The Guardian, and it has won several Oliver Awards in Leeds.
Lunch and dinner are served on weekdays with a break in the afternoon, Saturdays run straight through from noon, and it is closed on Sundays. Food is also available to take away and through Deliveroo and Uber Eats, and gift vouchers can be bought online.
