Golden Union is a fish and chip restaurant and takeaway on Poland Street in Soho that has been serving traditional British comfort food since 2008. Fish and chips are the heart of the menu and every portion is cooked to order, with fish bought from responsibly managed, sustainable waters such as the North Atlantic off Scotland and the Norwegian fjords, and traceable back to the boat that caught it.

The pies and fishcakes are made on the premises from the restaurant's own recipes, as are the tartare sauce and mushy peas, and sausages are cooked in a separate pan away from the fish. Plant-based dishes suitable for vegetarian, dairy-free and egg-free diets are also on the menu, and the frying oil is suitable for vegetarians.

Customers can sit down in the tiled dining room under the neon Golden Union sign, book a table, order ahead for click and collect, or get a delivery. The shop holds the Quality Fish and Chip accreditation and is a member of the National Federation of Fish Friers. It opens every day from 11.30am, staying open later on Friday and Saturday evenings.
